Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how ROASTicker (“ROASTicker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Application”). By downloading, registering for, or using the Application, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Application.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Updated” date above. Continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically.

1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into ROASTicker’s Terms of Service and applies to all information collected through our Application, including any separate privacy notices or disclaimers that may appear on particular pages or features. Wherever your information is collected, used, transferred, or stored in connection with the Application, it is governed by this Privacy Policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect two types of personal information:

  • Information you provide directly to us
  • Information we collect automatically when you use the Application

2.1. Information You Provide Directly

When you download, register for, or otherwise use the Application, you may choose to provide:

  • Account Registration Data: If you create an account or sign in via a third-party service (e.g., Facebook, Google), we may collect your username, email address, profile photo URL, and any other registration-related information.
  • User-Generated Content: Photos, stickers, or other materials you upload, create, or share within the Application.
  • Messages and Communications: Any information you send to other users within the Application or submit to our customer support (for example, email address, country, support requests, and correspondence logs).
  • Payment/Order Information: If you make in-app purchases (such as sticker packs or premium features), we collect relevant payment and order details—such as transaction timestamps, order numbers, product categories, and prices. We do not store your full credit card or billing information; all payment processing is handled securely by our third-party payment processor.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Application, we may automatically collect:

  • Analytics & Usage Data: We employ third-party analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase, or similar platforms) to measure traffic, usage patterns, and user engagement. These tools may collect data about which screens you visit, how long you spend there, crash reports, and feature usage. We use aggregated analytics data to improve performance and user experience; individual users are not personally identified.
  • Log Data: When you interact with the Application, our servers record log data, including:
    • IP address
    • Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID, iOS IDFA)
    • App version and build number
    • Date and time stamps of your requests
    • Crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic data
    • Network/carrier information and general location (city, region), derived from IP address (not precise GPS unless you enable it)
    • Device & System Information: We may collect information about your device (e.g., device type, OS version, language settings, time zone) to optimize compatibility.
    • Local Storage & Media Access: To let you select or create stickers from images, videos, or other media stored on your device, the Application may request permission to access your device’s local storage (e.g., photos, galleries, media files). We only read metadata (file names, dimensions) and the specific files you explicitly select; we do not continuously monitor or upload your entire media library.
    • Advertising Identifiers & Tracking: If you have not disabled interest-based ads in your device settings, we may collect your Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) to serve personalized advertisements or to help measure ad campaign performance. You may opt out of interest-based advertising by changing your device settings (see Section 6).

2.3. Information from Third-Party Services

Social Media Login: If you sign in via Google, Facebook, or another third-party OAuth provider, we collect the information that provider shares with us (such as your display name, email address, and profile picture URL). Any data we receive from these providers is governed by this Privacy Policy.

Contact Import: If you choose to import contacts (e.g., to find friends already using ROASTicker), we will only access the contacts you explicitly authorize; we do not store contacts indefinitely, nor do we share them with other users or third parties.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Application
    • Enable account creation and login, manage your profile, and store your preferences.
    • Deliver and render sticker content, download/upload user-generated stickers, and facilitate in-app purchases.
    • Process payments and fulfill orders for sticker packs or premium features.
  • To Improve the Application
    • Analyze usage patterns and crash reports to identify and fix bugs, enhance performance, and develop new features.
    • Perform A/B testing, user experience (UX) testing, and other quality-assurance tasks.
  • To Communicate with You
    • Send you service-related messages (e.g., account confirmations, purchase receipts, feature announcements, security alerts). You cannot opt out of service-related emails.
    • If you consent, send you marketing, promotional, or other non-service messages (e.g., newsletters, special offers). You may opt out of promotional communications at any time (see Section 6).
  • To Provide Personalized Content and Advertising
    • Serve personalized in-app advertisements if you have not opted out of interest-based advertising.
    • Provide you with relevant sticker recommendations based on your usage.
  • To Facilitate User Interactions
    • If the Application includes social features (for example, sharing stickers or messaging within the app), use your public username, profile picture, and any content you share to enable other users to see or comment on your stickers.
  • To Provide Customer Support
    • Respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations and Protect Rights
    • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activities.
    • Enforce our Terms of Service, resolve disputes, and exercise or defend legal claims.
    • In the event of a subpoena, court order, government investigation, or other legal process, we may be required to preserve or disclose your information.
  • For Any Other Legitimate Business Purpose
    • As described at the time you provide information, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

4. INFORMATION SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your personal information. We share or disclose information in the following circumstances:

4.1. Third-Party Service Providers

We engage third-party vendors and partners to perform various services on our behalf, including but not limited to:

  • Payment processing and billing
  • Cloud hosting and data storage
  • Analytics and crash-reporting
  • Email delivery and customer support
  • Advertising and ad-serving platforms

These service providers are granted access to only the personal information necessary to perform their assigned functions and are contractually obligated to use and protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

4.2. Advertising Partners

We may share aggregated or de-identified usage data (for example, non-personally identifiable metrics, ad performance statistics, device types, general location) with advertising networks or marketing partners. We do not share your name, email address, precise location, or other personal identifiers without your explicit consent. If you have opted out of interest-based advertising in your device settings, we will not share your Advertising ID with advertisers for targeting purposes.

4.3. Other Users

Any content or information you post or otherwise share in public areas of the Application (e.g., public sticker galleries, message boards, comment sections) may be visible to other users. When you share or post content to these public areas, that content and any associated profile information (e.g., your display name) will be accessible to the public on the Application.

If the Application supports direct messaging or other private interactions between users, those communications are visible only to the sender, recipient(s), and to us for moderation, legal compliance, or customer support purposes.

4.4. Affiliates and Business Transfers

In the event that ROASTicker undergoes a corporate transaction—such as a merger, acquisition, spin-off, or sale of assets—your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity or affiliates. Any successor entity will assume the rights and obligations regarding your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

4.5. Legal Requirements & Safety

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Privacy Policy, we may preserve or disclose your personal information if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests;
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of ROASTicker, our users, or the public;
  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues;
  • Enforce our Terms of Service or other legal agreements.

5. INFORMATION WE HAVE SOLD OR DISCLOSED FOR A BUSINESS PURPOSE

During the preceding 12-month period, we have not sold your personal information. We may have disclosed certain categories of information (such as device identifiers or anonymized usage data) to third parties for advertising or analytic purposes, as described in Section 4 above. Such disclosures are job-specific (e.g., sharing an aggregated anonymous usage report with an ad network) and do not constitute a “sale” of personal data under applicable privacy laws.

6. YOUR CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION

6.1. Account Information & Profile Data

View/Update/Correct: You may review, update, or correct your account registration data (such as email, username) at any time by opening the Application and navigating to Settings > Account > Edit Profile (or similar).

Delete Content: You can delete any sticker packs or user-generated content you have uploaded by browsing to My Stickers > [Select Sticker] > Delete. If you delete your account entirely, please note that you must remove any content before initiating account deletion, or else your content may remain on our servers.

Delete Account: If you no longer wish to use our service, you may delete your account by going to Settings > Account > Delete Your Account. Deleting your account removes most personal data from our active databases; however, backup copies or certain transactional data (e.g., purchase receipts) may remain stored as required by law (see Section 7).

6.2. Promotional Communications

If you receive promotional emails (e.g., newsletters, marketing offers) from ROASTicker, you can opt out at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of those emails. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you transactional or service-related messages (for example, account confirmations, purchase receipts, or updates about the Application).

6.3. Push Notifications

If the Application supports push notifications, you can disable or re-enable them via your device settings or within the Application at Settings > Notifications.

6.4. Interest-Based Advertising

If you do not want to receive personalized advertisements, you can opt out by adjusting your device settings:

On Android:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Google > Ads.
  3. Enable Opt out of Ads Personalization (“Limit Ad Tracking”).

On iOS (Apple):

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy > Tracking.
  3. Disable Allow Apps to Request to Track or individually disable tracking for ROASTicker.

Opting out of interest-based advertising does not prevent all ads—only those tailored to your interests. You may still see generic, non-targeted ads.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Application and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Specifically:

  • Account Registration Data & Profile Information: Retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we may retain certain data (e.g., purchase history) for legal, tax, or internal record-keeping purposes—typically no longer than 7 years, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • User-Generated Content: Retained until you request deletion. If you delete your account, we will remove your content, but residual copies may remain in our backups for up to 14 days.
  • In-App Purchase Records: Retained for at least the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (usually 7 years).
  • Analytics, Log Data, & Crash Reports: Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for internal analysis. Any log files or diagnostics containing personal data are purged or anonymized within 14 days, unless otherwise required by law or necessary to resolve disputes, fraud, or security incidents.
  • Legal Holds & Investigations: If we become aware of a pending legal claim, regulatory investigation, or suspected fraud, we may retain the relevant data until the matter is resolved.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the minimum age as defined by applicable local law). If you believe that a user under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at admin@roastickers.com. In such cases, we will delete the child’s personal information from our systems if we determine, in our discretion, that the data was collected without appropriate consent.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your personal data may be stored or processed in any country where ROASTicker, its affiliates, or service providers maintain facilities. If you are located outside of those jurisdictions, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country with data protection laws different from your home country. By using the Application, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

10. SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These safeguards include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption at rest where feasible.
  • Access controls and authentication measures for systems and databases.
  • Regular security testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Employee training on data privacy and security best practices.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your own account credentials and for logging out of the Application when finished using it on a shared device.

11. EXTERNAL LINKS

The Application may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, social media platforms, payment processors). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party site or service. Once you leave the Application or click on a link to a third-party site, any information you provide to that third party is governed by that third party’s privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to read and understand the privacy practices of any third-party site you visit.

12. DO NOT TRACK

Some web browsers or apps support a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal, which is a request not to collect information about a user’s online activities over time. The Application does not respond to or honor DNT signals. If you wish to limit tracking, refer to Section 6.4 above to disable interest-based advertising at the device level.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy within the Application and updating the “Updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Application after we post any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account and stop using the Application.
